Abstract:
For sake of more integration into an evolving local & global economy and responding to labor market needs; and considering the fact that intuitions of higher education as well as enterprises are steered by such international trends that increase their competitiveness and upgrade their performance up to excellence at local and international levels , relevant studies and international conferences have been started nowadays to shed more red lights on the importance of bridging the gaps between academia and business clusters. Especially that universities are considered as centers for innovative knowledge and technology transfer. Most universities in developing countries, are inevitably in need for more openness and more inclusion into productive sectors since they are seeking to increase their financial resources; and equipping graduates with career and business oriented skills and knowledge. This paper explores the envisioned apex of such a nexus between public universities and private sector; benefits for both sides; challenges and potential opportunities for enhancement. Also, this paper provide suggestions on how to benefit from international models and success stories in this field.
